Booking & Payment
How does booking work?
All experiences begin with an enquiry — there's no commitment and no payment required at this stage. Once you submit your interest, our concierge team builds a bespoke proposal tailored to your group, dates, and preferences. You'll receive it within 48 hours.
If you'd like to go ahead, a 30% deposit secures your date and activates your experience. Your booking is confirmed in writing once we receive this.
How is payment structured?
We've designed our payment schedule to be as comfortable as possible:
- 30% on booking confirmation — secures your date
- 40% at 45 days after booking
- 30% at 72 hours before your experience
For bookings made within 45 days of the activity, a simplified two-payment schedule applies. Full details in our Terms of Service.
Can I use a Gift Card as my deposit?
Yes. Gift Cards can be applied to any payment instalment, including the initial 30% deposit.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept bank transfer and card payments where available. Payment instructions are included in your proposal.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
Yes, subject to our Cancellation Policy. In summary:
- Cancellation more than 72h before: 50% fee (or reschedule for 20%)
- Cancellation between 24-72h before: 50% fee, no reschedule
- Cancellation less than 24h before: 100% fee

Experiences
Are your experiences suitable for families with children?
Most experiences are suitable for children, subject to the activity type. Our insurance covers participants from 3 months to 75 years of age. Please mention the ages of all participants when enquiring.
What languages do your guides speak?
Our team guides in English and Portuguese. Several team members also speak Spanish, French, and German.
What if the weather is bad on my experience day?
If conditions are unsafe, our team will contact you to reschedule at no extra cost. If a reschedule isn't possible, you'll receive a full refund. The decision rests solely with our team leaders and vessel captains.
Do I need prior experience for diving or water activities?
No prior experience is required for most water experiences. Our certified instructors cater to all levels, from first-timers to experienced divers.
Are you insured?
Yes. Arrabida Untold holds Civil Liability and Personal Accident insurance as required by Portuguese law (DL 108/2009, art. 20). We strongly recommend that all clients also hold personal travel insurance.
What should I bring?
Your detailed programme includes a specific packing list. In general: comfortable clothing, sun protection, a light layer for the sea breeze, and a sense of curiosity. We take care of everything else.
Gift Cards
Do Gift Cards expire?
No. Arrabida Untold Gift Cards have no expiry date, in accordance with Portuguese consumer law (DL 84/2021).
Can Gift Cards be transferred or shared?
Yes — Gift Cards are fully transferable and their value can be split across multiple purchases.
Are Gift Cards refundable?
Gift Cards are non-refundable once purchased, but their full value remains available indefinitely.

Who operates Arrabida Untold?
Arrabida Untold is operated by Segmentrevelation – Consulting – Unipessoal, Lda (NIF 514534877), holding RNAAT 375/2010 issued by Turismo de Portugal. Our experiences are delivered through specialist partners: Aquarama, Anthia Diving Center, Arrabida Life, and Sesimbra Safari.
Where are you based?
We operate from Sesimbra and the Serra da Arrabida, approximately 40 minutes south of Lisbon.
